During two weeks, negotiators, ministers and world leaders were assembled in the Danish capital to give the people of all nations a strong answer to this common, global threat of climate change. Arjowiggins Graphic gave strong innnovative and environmental solutions for paper based communication : 9 new environmentally-friendly products were brought to the market in just 18 months under the brand : Cocoon, Maine Gloss green, Satimat green, Cyclus and Eural.
As a start on the road to Copenhagen, Arjowiggins Graphic launched its NO CO2MPROMISE petition with Cyclus (100% non coated recycled paper produced in the Dalum Danish mills) calling for signatures to support the Climate Change Summit for CO2 emissions reductions (www.cyclus.dk/co2).

Thursday 3 December 2009 New Arjowiggins Creative Papers’ initiative goes one step further to help preserve the world’s forests at Copenhagen conference
Responsible forestry management can and will make a significant contribution to the preservation of the environment. Ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference taking place next week, Arjowiggins Creative Papers is launching an innovative and thought-provoking campaign to support the global summit. Arjowiggins Creative Papers already offers an extensive range of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, CarbonNeutral® and recycled stocks. Driven by its mission that paper can help to preserve the world’s forests, the leading manufacturer of creative eco-sustainable papers is going one step further with a new campaign that combines decisive action with cutting-edge design and proactive education on climate change.
PAPER THAT PRESERVES FORESTS For each of the state leaders attending the summit Arjowiggins Creative Papers is committing to protecting one hectare of Brazilian rainforest. In cooperation with international conservation charity, the World Land Trust, the paper company is funding a programme for 65 hectares of threatened rainforest to be protected and managed as part of a reserve in Brazil. The preservation of the world’s forests is a key business commitment for Arjowiggins Creative Papers, as the company recognises the important role trees play in helping the environment through CO2 capture. As all Arjowiggins Creative Papers' brands are FSC certified, the company strongly endorses systematic regeneration. Indeed, paper is one of the few materials that when used responsibly is completely renewable. At the heart of the Copenhagen campaign is a unique collaboration with a team of up-and-coming French designers Creative Sweatshop, Arjowiggins Creative Papers commissioned the talented young designer to create a paper cut-out sculpture to communicate the message that we can all take steps to protect the world’s forests and help to address climate change. The hand crafted paper tree growing out from a sheet of paper has been created using stos from the Curious Collection, Keaykolour and Rives ranges.
